context-meter

A Claude Code mod that keeps the context window usage pinned under the prompt:

ctx ███░░░░░░░ 25% · 50k/200k

It refreshes after every main-thread turn (session.measure) with the same figures the native status line reads (used_percentage, total_input_tokens, context_window_size). Before the first response, or right after a compaction, it shows only the window size: ctx —/200k.

Install

At the prompt of a terminal session:

/plugin install context-meter --marketplace Voltaire405/claude-mods

Answer y to add the marketplace, then pick a scope (user scope loads it in every session and repository). From a shell: claude plugin install context-meter --marketplace Voltaire405/claude-mods.
