Sends each Bash command to the jev model on OpenRouter before it runs, like auto mode, and blocks the ones it classifies as dangerous.

A Claude Code mod that checks every Bash command before it runs, similar to Claude's auto mode. Each command is sent to typesafe/jev-1.14 on OpenRouter. Jev is a fast classifier, so it doesn't reason, it only rates. If it thinks the command is unsafe, the command is blocked and the agent is told why.
tool.call for the Bash tool.POST /api/alpha/decisions) as state.is_unsafe, and reads back a probability from 0 to 1.blockThreshold.onError is allow.Jev returns a probability, not a written reason, so the block message shows the percentage only.
| Option | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
apiKey | empty | OpenRouter API key. Falls back to the OPENROUTER_API_KEY environment variable. |
model | typesafe/jev-1.14 | Decisions model to use. |
blockThreshold | 0.5 | Block at or above this probability. Lower is stricter. |
onError | deny | deny blocks commands when the classifier fails, allow lets them run. |
With no API key set, nothing is checked and a single toast says so.
Jev judges by the shape of a command, not its effect. Harmless variants of risky commands (a dry-run force push, deleting a directory that doesn't exist) were still blocked in testing. Expect some false positives and tune blockThreshold for your own work.
The mod was written against the Claude Code mod API and lives in hooks/register.ts.

claude plugin validate .
tsc -p . --noEmit
The tests mock the network, so they don't need an API key.
integration/jev.live.ts sends a set of ordinary and risky commands (including commands that read API keys and other secrets) to the real jev model as text. It never runs them. It needs OPENROUTER_API_KEY in the environment and skips itself without one.
node --experimental-strip-types --test integration/jev.live.ts
